What exactly is beard oil?
Ah, the mystical elixir known as beard oil! It’s like a secret potion for your facial hair that helps hydrate, nourish, and soften facial hair by moisturising the skin beneath the beard. Beard oil is formulated with a blend of carrier oils, such as jojoba and argan oil, and essential oils that add fragrance and a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to your skin and beard.
Your skin produces a natural oil called sebum that is produced by the skin’s sebaceous glands. It covers, hydrates and protects the skin from unnecessary water loss. But sebum gets stripped away in the shower by water and the detergents found in soaps. A quality beard oil help replenish the sebum lost due to showering, preventing your beard from becoming dry, brittle, and wiry.

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis): This beautiful golden oil is very similar to the skin’s natural oil, and therefore it is suitable for all skin types. It is especially beneficial for acne-prone skin as it helps to remove impurities and rid the pores. It is easily absorbed and provides your skin with the moisture it needs.
Argan Oil (Argania Spinosa): Also known as Morocco’s ‘liquid gold’ because it is extremely rich in vitamin E, vitamin A and Omega 6 & 9 and Ferulic Acid. One of the primary benefits of Argan Oil is that it’s a natural moisturizer. It works great for your beard as it softens, tames, reduces breakage, and maybe best of all, helps to fight ‘beardruff’ (dandruff in your beard). It leaves hair silky smooth and with a natural healthy shine.
Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus Dulcis): This oil is especially high in vitamin E which helps to increase the health of your hair follicles as well as the shine and volume of your hair.
Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol): A great skin-boosting nutrient, with powerful antioxidant properties. It helps to protect and support your skin cells, for a healthier, more youthful complexion.
Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia): Tea tree has impressive antiseptic and antiviral properties. It is well renowned for its ability to treat oily skin and ‘beardruff’.

How do I use beard oil?
To enjoy the full benefits of our beard oil, we suggest using it daily, immediately after a shower when your pores are slightly more open. The right amount to use depends on the length of your beard. Shake the bottle gently and use 2-3 drops for stubble or short beards, 3-6 drops for a medium beard and 6-10 drops for long beards. Start with a little, and use more if you need to. Dispense the oil into your hand and then warm it between your palms, appreciating the fynbos aromas. Apply the oil to the skin beneath your beard and then onto the hair. Use a boar’s hair beard brush or beard comb to help evenly distribute the oil and shape your beard.
How do I store beard oil?
Make sure to seal your bottle well after use and store upright in a dark place, out of direct sunlight.
