The Brotea Beard Company was founded in February 2022 by Pieter Stander with the vision to create an inspirational lifestyle brand that offers both style and nourishment to a growing community of South African men.

where it all began
My journey began back in 2014, in London, when my wife fell pregnant with our second daughter. I decided to grow a beard! I was naïve to think that I don’t need any beard care products but soon discovered that my skin became very dry and itchy. I was told that if you can only invest in one product to nourish, hydrate, and maintain your beard from the beginning, it will be beard oil! So that’s exactly what I got, and have been using ever since.
We moved back to South Africa in 2015 when I started using some of the local products. Unfortunately, there was nothing on the market that grabbed my attention, so I thought hey, why not make my own? And the rest, as they say, is history!

Our focus is on developing and expanding our beard care range to cater to the evolving needs of our customers. We want to be at the forefront of providing high-quality products that help men maintain their beards with style and confidence.
We’re slowly growing as a business, both in terms of sales and customer base. We’re constantly exploring new avenues to reach more customers and spread the word about our amazing products.
